Cookie Policy

The short version

Cookies help our website work and help us understand what's working. Here's how we use them: the short version first, with the detail underneath.

  • Some cookies are essential. They keep your basket, checkout and account working, so they're always on.
  • Everything else is your choice. We only use analytics, marketing and preference cookies if you agree to them through our cookie banner.
  • Advertising cookies are only used if you agree. Meta uses them to show you our adverts on Instagram and Facebook, and Google uses them to measure how well our Google listings work.
  • You can change your mind at any time, using the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.
  • Saying no won't stop you shopping. Our website works fine without the optional cookies.

1. What are cookies?

1.1 Cookies are small files saved on your device when you visit a website. They let the website remember things, such as what's in your basket, and help it understand how it's being used.

1.2 In this policy, “cookies” also covers similar technologies that do the same job, such as pixels and information saved in your browser's storage.

1.3 Some cookies are set by us (through our website platform, Shopify), and some are set by other companies whose services we use. We name them all in clauses 2 and 6.

2. What cookies do we use?

2.1 We group our cookies into four categories, which match the choices in our cookie banner.

Necessary

2.2 These keep the website working: your basket, checkout, sign-in, security, and the review form. They're set by Shopify and Judge.me. The law lets us use them without asking, because the website can't work properly without them, so they can't be switched off in our cookie banner.

Analytics

2.3 These help us understand how people use our website, such as which pages are visited, how people arrive and where they leave, so we can improve it. They're set by Shopify and Google. We only use them if you agree.

Marketing

2.4 These help us make our emails and adverts more relevant to you. If you've signed up to our emails or clicked a link in one of them, Klaviyo uses a cookie to connect your visits to our website with your email profile, for example so we can remind you about items left in your basket. Cookies from Meta help show you our adverts on Instagram and Facebook and measure how well they work, and cookies from Google help measure how well our Google listings work. Shopify also sets a marketing cookie. We only use them if you agree.

Preferences

2.5 These remember your choices to make things easier next time, such as your name and email when you leave another review. They're set by Judge.me. We only use them if you agree.

3. Who else sets cookies on our website?

3.1 The companies named in this policy set some of our cookies and are responsible for how they use the information under their own privacy and cookie policies:

3.2 If we ask you to take part in a survey on our website, the survey tool may set its own cookies. If we start using one, we'll add it to this policy.

3.3 Our Privacy Policy explains what we share with each of them and why.

4. How can you choose?

4.1 When you first visit our website, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline the optional cookies, or choose by category. Accepting and declining are equally easy, and nothing is ticked for you. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.

4.2 You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary ones, parts of our website, such as the basket and checkout, may not work.

4.3 Declining optional cookies doesn't affect the marketing emails you've signed up for. To stop those, use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails.

5. Will this policy change?

5.1 We'll update this policy when we start or stop using a service that sets cookies, and check it regularly. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

5.2 Questions? Email hello@monticlothing.co.uk. Our Privacy Policy explains more about how we use your personal data and your rights.

6. The cookies we use

6.1 This table lists the cookies we found on our website when we last checked, on 15 October 2026. The companies that set them occasionally rename or add cookies, so the links in clause 3 have their full, current lists.
